Kerry needs to start attacking now and keep attacking. Frame the debates. Forget the "rebuttal" ads -- they don't work. And by bringing in a McCain aid, he does show precience that Bush and company are going to head hunt early and often. However, he can't afford to do what McCain did, and that's merely defend himself.
Bush is horrible at defense. He stumbles and blathers more than usual. Kerry doesn't need to go negative to attack issues and policies.
