more hearts and minds
Yes, a beacon of hope and freedom and democracy -- well, for idealistic westerners looking in. For Arabs, it seems as though all those "peaceniks" were right in their fear that it would actually turn the moderate Arab voice into one that rails against the US. Looks like Osama got his recruitment tool handed to him on a silver platter.
